Fake iPod nano?

The current generation iPod Nano is the best in my opinion, with a small form factor, multi-touch display and other features, it’s a delight. Reports of a new iPod Nano with a camera have been floating on the Internet for almost a year now. Apple.pro first published pictures of a Nano with a camera back in 2010, but Apple didn’t upgrade the product or add any cameras. Now, Apple.pro has again released a bunch of new pictures that show the next gen iPod Nano with a rear camera in detail. This is just the casing, but according to MIC Gadget, the leaked pictures are indeed real and were being tested by Apple at least two months ago. The leaked casings show a camera hole on the clip, which houses a protruding camera. It all fits well, but there seems to be a problem. MIC Gadget has confirmed that the case and design is real, but most likely won’t be the final product because this one had problems with the camera. A 1.3 megapixel camera with an auto iris lens was used here, but it had some serious problems while shooting in bright light. According to our factory sources, Apple have problems with the lens aperture for the next-gen iPod nano, the iris is not functioning correctly to allow the advantages of the low aperture to be utilized. Every shot was overexposed. Apple intends to correct its mistake, but the problem still exists in this prototype that is manufactured two months ago. What’s more, a 2-megapixel camera was tested, but it was unsatisfactory — the photos look washed-out and flat. The good news is… this 2-month-old prototype is close to final product, the UI is done. Finally, it has also been stated that Apple may release the iPod Nano with a camera later this year. An iPod Nano with a camera would be a great companion, and we hope that Apple will deliver us with a similar product. Well folks, that’s all there is to this, and we will update you when we have more on this topic. Until that time please leave any thoughts related to the proposed design of the next generation iPod Nano in the comments section below…
